Special 3-day Weaponology Module

September 13 - 15, 2019

Day 1: Unarmed Combatives

Taught by District Combatives Founder/Chief Instructor Ben Drader (Bio)

Following this course of instruction, you will:

- More competently defend yourself;

- Depart more balanced, agile, and coordinated;

- Understand and apply our combative principles as effectively as your attributes allow;

- Have a more realistic understanding of confrontations, what constitutes useful Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and what is legal under the law with regard to the right of self-defense.

THEMES

  1. Assiduously avoid confrontation.

  2. If you can’t avoid or escape a fight, prevail in it.

If something doesn’t work, the answer is more pain and more violence.

KEYS

  1. Don’t get hit.

  2. Don’t get grabbed.

  3. Don’t fall down.

  4. Hit back. Hard.

WHAT ARE COMBATIVES?

Combatives

N: a set of personal combat principles applied to an intentionally limited number of simple (predominantly Western) self-defense and fighting techniques that are easily recalled under duress and able to be linked, creating short combative sequences.

Day 2: Improvised & Point Curriculum

Taught by Ed Calderon of Ed’s Manifesto (bio).

Improvised edge & point curriculum adapted from methodologies found in criminal cultures from all over the world. Specifically designed for security professionals, military personnel, and civilians operating in areas and conditions not conducive to the carrying weapons, this course covers the procurement, manufacturing, concealment, and use of improvised weapons in non-permissive environments. In addition, the Weaponology Module covers movement in urban landscapes and circumventing complex security issues found in many inhospitable areas.

This unique methodology has been taught to members of federal agencies both domestic and abroad, as well as members of special forces groups and private security contractors.

Day 3: Organic Medium
